We understand that by
becoming a signatory of the Flex Accord we will become members of a coalition that is
developing a sustainable value-chain for used Flex. As members, we will support the
coalition in the following manner:
1) Flex Take-back responsibility: Ad Agencies and Brand Managers who work with Flex will
work with their Clients to take back a minimum of 50% of all Flex used in communications.
The Flex will be distributed through CSR or other goodwill activities to local communities
and NGOs in need.
2) Information Sharing: You can only manage what you can measure. Signatores agree to
share ongoing information about the quantity of flex used by them through Flex Accord
portal so that this data helps in creating a sustainable after-use supply-chain for flex.
3) Funding for NGOs: We agree to allocate internal funding to train NGOs in manufacturing
sustainable products from used Flex.
4) ECO-Flex: Flex users may choose ‘eco-alternatives’ to Flex for future campaigns.
5) Education & Awareness: Signatories agree to educate brands they work with, about the
environmental damage of Flex and co-create opportunities for post-use ‘take-back of flex”.
